bmux: tmux-style browser panes, sessions and agent control

Watch on YouTube (opens in a new tab)

About this video

bmux brings tmux-style panes, windows and sessions to a Chromium browser. Split pages side by side, keep a reference floating, and return to a workspace with its layout in place. Try bmux: https://bmux.cc/ Source and downloads: https://github.com/tonisives/bmux CLI and agent guide: https://bmux.cc/docs/agent/ 0:00 Browser multiplexer 0:19 Agentic browsing 0:39 Simulate mobile devices 0:58 Automated scraping The CLI targets a specific pane to navigate, click, type, read the DOM and take screenshots. Independent profiles keep logins and storage separate, so you can watch several browser workers in one workspace. Mobile viewport presets and per-profile proxy connections help set up different browsing environments. bmux is an early preview, free and open source under GPLv3. It runs as a separate browser and does not require tmux. Longer walkthroughs are available at https://bmux.cc/

Transcript (automatic captions)

Browser multiplexer. Split pages into panes. Keep a reference in a floating pane. Find a session and return to your workspace. Agentic browsing. Control a pane from the shell. Watch several browser agents work at once. Keep each worker in its own profile. Simulate mobile devices. Apply a phone preset for a mobile viewport, touch input, and browser headers. Combined with proxies, this can reduce simple bot detection signals. Automated scraping. Start one mobile worker, add a second profile and device, then expand to four. Each scrolls, reads content, and follows links independently.
